    Got a music question

Getting ready to kick back and watch the American Music Awards show. Just wondered if Jamaica TV has a "Reggae Award Show" or something similar?? I know they have a show similar to Idol but I would think there would be plenty of new reggae each year to have something. Anybody have a clue??

Obviously, I'm getting close to a December reach, so my mind is definitely in "reggae mode". Been listening to reggae every day!!!

West End Girl, I feel ya! BTW, love your boardie name....I love the west end! Still love the beach, but the cliffs seem to be home. Are you coming for the holidays? If so, drop by Catcha Gardens and say hello.

I've been listening to everyone from ole school reggae, to All of the Marley's, Tarrus, Etana, and even some of the new bloods coming into the mix. Latest one is Protoje. Really like his song with Kymani Marley..." rasta love" Here is a link.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkWXXGe49cw

Yetta, Thank you. We are kindred spirits! Love Protoje!! Rasta Love is my favorite, but there is not a bad song on Seven Year Itch. I was lucky to see Protoje at Negril Escape in '11. Awesome concert!

I will be in Negril Dec 15-22. I'll be staying at Catch Gardens my first night. I'll just follow the music to find you!!! :-)

No kidding....I am counting down the days big time! Thank you so much for your very nice comment. It's been a long year waiting for this trip. Usually sneak in a short summer trip but it didn't happen this year. So, adding some days was the next best thing. Definitely with you......hurry up December!!!

Sweet!! I am so hoping that one of the Marley's just might be performing in Negril or nearby during the holiday season. A gyal can dream!! I have never seen any of the Marley's IN Jamaica. It would be a dream come true. Toots and the Maytals is another one that I have hoped to see perform there. I am such a music fanatic with a pretty large range of styles. Tonight, getting ready to settle down in front of the tube to watch the "Soul Train Awards" on BET. I'm old enough to remember soul train back in the day...even loved it then. Should have an interesting group of folks performing.

The time is getting nearer WEG, and it won't be long till we reach!!
