    In the 'middle lane' of the pool at the outflow end, it is deep enough to jump and some folks dive.

    Along the 3 outside edges there is a w-i-d-e concrete ledge; the water level is - I'm guesstimating - about 4'6" there. I am 5'6" tall and can walk on it with my head above water.

    Yes Lola is right. There is a shallower area of approx 4.5 around three sides and a deeper section in the middles of about 10ft. This was how the water was filtered back in the old days. It is rather amazing.

    Hey Annie -- I think we should make a trip there this year. Looks beautiful, and though I'm not one to leave the beach, it's not far .... See you soon and we can make plans!
