    #13 vs #23...

    Heres the dilly:

Were spending 4 nights on the beach this November before we head to Treasure Beach. Im trying to decide between two places that we've never been to and both currently are running a special...

    tripadvisor's #13 Treehouse vs. #23 CoCo LaPalm

Treehouse $380 for 4 nights, with transfers and daily breakfast (Standard gardenview suite)
    ~so figure breakfast's value around $80 with transfer's value at $100; $180 total

CoCo $299 for 4 nights, with continental breakfast (although wifey wants the superior room upgrade, so lets call it $389 for 4 nights)
~cant really put a value on a continental breakfast (unless someone can elaborate more)

Pros: Everone has great things to say about both places
Cons: We stayed at Seapslash last reach so I would prefer to check out a diff. area on the beach than the Treehouse/Seasplash area

Any insight would be appreciated, as one of the deals runs out in three days.

    big thanks

Never stayed at CoCo so no opinion there but Treehouse is awesome! We are using a similar Groupon deal from earlier in the year for our stay in August as are several family members that are joining us.

Never stayed at either but I can tell you the beach at CLP is great! Very wide and deep there. Lots of loungers too.

The beach is better at CCLP. Also, you can use the value of the continental breakfast towards any breakfast.

More likely to see families/kids at CCLP.

Moving closer to pulling the trigger on Coco then RR mentions kids and families... gulp...

come to think of it I dont believe Ive ever stayed anywhere where there were kids or families or kids with families! (not that theres anything wrong with that) hahaha

Me n wifey are hardcore foodies... are there good cheap eats around CoCo or even good not-so cheap eats?

Big thanks for all the help

Re-read your post and picked up on the foodie part again. As already mentioned, for sure you'll need to check out Wild Parrot for lunch. They have great breakfasts as well, but realize you may stick to your hotel where it's included. Another little beach restaurant with nice seating can be found at Country Country, right beside Treehouse. Again awesome breakfasts, lunch and dinners. The dinner menu changes daily and offers a handful of fresh choices, very good although not the place for dessert (Charela has great desserts). They have nice quiet ambience anytime, set with candles at dinner. Kuyaba has good food and ambience with view as well. Larger menu. Not walking distance but they offer free pickup and return to your hotel. Just call or have your hotel reception call for you.

You can book airport transfers through Negrilonestop, great driver, average prices (some drivers, Kingsley, Ashton, are cheaper). Can't go wrong with Negrilonestop for booking your hotel. They give repeat customers a 5% discount as well, and also book stays in other Jamaican locations.
