**off-Site (pre)-TripReport --e-chats with Ja-play-dawta
the-Third-person
i contacted in Jamaica of my upcoming trip
was my Ja-play-dawta
Several years ago,
mid-Summer
i met her when she was the
administrative assistant
at a Lucea computer/internet place
I was impressed with her attitude
and the fact that she could type
about 80-90 words per minute
with TWO-fingers
there was another female-worker there
who was even faster --- more like 100 wpm
My play-dawta
taught me a lot
would NEVER speak to me unless it was Patois
:-(
trying to make me learn the language
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
i now-do unna-stand better
but still can't speak it properly
She also turned me onto some neat Ja-phrases/sayings:::
such as, once there was a new employee,
who wasn't up to snuff,
and not learning as quickly as she should
I told my play-dawta to help her
and be patient with her
she-SAY:::>>> "... I ain't got time to breast-feed nobody.."
* sigh *
love(ed) that phrase so-so much,
that I FREQUENTLY use it today
(here in-foreign)
when the *need* arises
get some interesting responses, too
lol
lol
lol
anyhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
when first-met,
play-dawta had just finished high school..
has since gotten married,
and has one-likkle boy
[[[ cute likkle thing ... spoiled rotten ... must be 'bout 3+ years now ]]]
I email dawta
let her know me '..soon come..'
at end of my email,
i jokingly asked::>>> "..how many pickney you got now..??.."
below,
her response
.
.
.
:-(
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I TOLD her NOT to *do-that*......!!!...
oh well
so it goes
my fellow-boardies ~~~ got a question:::>>> "..how's Portmore..??.."
is it safe.??
i was hope-ing/planning on linking with her in the West (i.e., Westmoreland/Hanover),
at her mom's house
..the odds are pretty good that she's going to come over to Westmoreland/Hanover sometime over the holiday(s)
today,
i'm not *feel-ing* an excursion over-to Portmore.
