    Heading back!

    Just booked a stay and air for December, we are excited to return.
    Last year we volunteered at the Soup Kitchen. Is it still run by Fr. Jim at the Catholic Church?

    Also, I didn't see any steel drums in Negril last year - are there any venues for steel drums outside the all-inclusives?

    Steel Drums are not a normal fixture in Jamaica and normally brought in to the AI for tourist that expect to find them. They come from the southern caribbean islands.

    Sometimes there is a steel drum band in the afternoons at ricks. very good.

    Steel Drums are common in Barbados too. Never seen them in Jamaica.
    Like the previous poster said, it is a Southern Caribbean thing.
    Jamaica is home to Reggae!
