The Boardies are in Negril

It is that time of year, the last week of April when Negril fills with the viewers of Negril.com. Back in 1998, a year after the Negril Message Board started, the participants on Negril.com nicknamed themselves "boardies". The first annual gathering of boardies, originally called the "Meeting of the Board" was held in February 1999. Since then, we have grown and moved the "Boardie Bash" to the end of April. The traditional busy season ends April 15th so by holding the event after that date, Negril.com is helping to extend the "busy season" providing a boost to the local economy. And all of you are a part in making that a reality! Today's Negril Today photo shows just small section of the crowd gathered at Drifter's Bar this past Sunday for a great afternoon of music! All of Negril welcomes and is thankful for the support the Boardies have shown over the years! And in case you were wondering what a Boardie is, if you are reading this, you are one! Welcome and thank you! Dru's Bar at Wavz will be the location of this year's Boardie Bash, always held on the last Friday in April from Noon to 4pm! See you all there!
