Fun with Cars and Water

Entrepreneurship at its best! This afternoon in Negril we had the longest rain we have had for a long while. The low lying areas filled with more water than usual and during Negril's "rush hour" the road was blocked by several feet of water by the Negril Hills Golf Course. Some of the first vehicles to try and make it across failed and became disabled. But to the rescue came the St. Elizabeth Technical High School Footballers! Their bus stopped and the boys got out to help! Asking the drivers to turn off their engines, and with the cars in neutral, they pushed the cars through the deep water! The drivers were so happy for the help they tipped the boys, some generously! It was quite a thing to witness, and today's Negril Today photo captures the scene as it was nearing its end.
