The Reggae Marathon

This events surrounding this year's Reggae Marathon have grown! Called the Reggae Marathon Gran Prix Championship, events are being staged in more than one parish throughout the island with races being held in Kingston, St Catherine, Clarendon, St James and St. Elizabeth, culminating in the Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K scheduled for Negril on Saturday, December 1. This extension of the Grand Prix schedule was announced on Wednesday, October 3 by Race Director Alfred Francis at a ceremony in Kingston which saw Restaurant Associates Limited, franchise holders of Burger King Jamaica, presenting over $2.6M in sponsorship to the Jamdammer's Running Club of Kingston, organizers of the event. Frances said the fast food giant’s support, “gives us the opportunity to extend the Grand Prix, which should add even more excitement, especially to the Reggae Marathon 10K event.” For more information about things to do while in Negril,be sure to check out our Things To Do section!
