Negril has changed greatly over the years. From a sleepy fishing spot in the 60's to the beginning of a tourist destination in the 70's. In those early years, the lack of electricity, phone and running water were part of the charm as you camped in the residents' yards. Dinner was a shared family meal. Restaurants were just starting up. By the 90's, the village had grown to have electricity, phone, running water and many restaurants serving local fare. As Negril has evolved into the 21st century, the expectations of our visitors has evolved as well. There are now much more diverse dining options including Negril's first premium wine bar, called Wine With Me! Located by the beach road on the Beachcomber Club property, Cecile Levee has "brought something a little more sophisticated" to Negril as the above picture shows. There are wines and cheeses to suit every palate, as well as breakfast and dinner options.
