Murphy's vs Presley's vs Bentley's
We will only be in Negril for 4 days. We are real foodies and having trouble narrowing down dinner spots due to our limited time.We have an anniversary dinner planned at Catcha. Which would you choose between Presley's or Murphy's? (I see Bentley's is closed) Any other recommendations? We also want to try some local jerk stands or any great non-touristy places. We are adventurous eaters, so something with true local flavor that we can't get in the US would be great. We are staying at Banana Shout. Anything within walking distance from there?
Thanks.

Bentley's is not open so that narrows it down. I suggest Sips 'n Bites, about 1.25 km towards Negril downtown from Banana Shout. Plain local restaurant with great local food (brown stew chicken with sides was delish), very reasonably priced. They are closed on Saturdays though. They don't serve alcohol but have heard you can bring your own. A must try for good local food IMO.

Thanks Melody. Heard Sips 'n Bites is good. Do they do lunch?

We loved Murphy's when we were there in November, so much that we went twice! Also don't miss Just Natural for breakfast. If you go up past the lighthouse, past Murphy's and Out of Town Bakery you will get to Hylton Ave and shortly after Just Natural. The setting, the lovely ladies and the delicious food is so worth the walk! (Or taxi if you prefer).

There's a ton of excellent food in Negril... Presley's is about as perfect as it gets and worth every penny. Just be sure to call ahead/stop in earlier in the day to make your reservation for whatever is freshest out of the water that a.m. Huge lobster portions and def try the gigantic shrimp too, wonderful! Presley is a cool guy with a clear passion for cooking. (Never been to Murphys.)

Small one stop next door sells booze at affordable prices.
I second Sips and Bites.....great JA food and great service. Plus BYOB saves a little money.

A very short walk to Ras Rody's from Banana Shout. Small yellow stand on the garden side right around Tensing Pen. I recommend this for lunch

Yes, they do lunch. I stopped in about 2:00 or 2:30 for a late lunch.

if ure a foodie, catcha is good, too, but the portions are not overly big.
