How do these $55 one-way/$110 roundtrip MBJ>Negril prices compare with others? Average? Cheaper than average? I've always had one person drive me around and have never compared prices.

Those prices are cheaper than average.
Drivers may charge what they want even when they are part of JUTA (Jamaica Union of Travellers Assoc.), JCAL or Maxi...these companies recommend to their driver members a price of $80us one way from Montego Bay to Negril based on current gas prices, insurance costs, wait/driving times etc...but the drivers can choose to charge more or less as they see fit.
