When were you there? I've read that someone called to ask and was told there's a $200 fine each time caught, not allowed on balconies, only at a small picnic area in the back.Quote:

My biggest problem with SATP was havin the beach across the road. I'm used the 7 mile beach, where you are normally a few steps from the ocean. We stayed there about 10 years ago, but even then, subs were a problem. Once morning, we had a breakfast sub, then crossed the road to the beach. As I went by the crossing guard, he stopped me, looked right into my eyes, and asked if I was ok.... made me VERY uncomfortable. So, if they've gotten stricter, I wouldn't attempt it. The rest was beautiful. Grounds, food, pools.... were all awesome.
SATP is a beautiful resort, away from the crowds but a short taxi ride to anywhere. Best benefit........... just a short beach walk to Office of Nature.
you just have to be respectful..we smoked on the beach, just took a walk up the beach, smoked on the porch, but again, when no one was around...lovely place
'Preciate the info. We booked 5 nights at treehouse and 4 at satp in November! Now the waiting game begins. Wish it was sooner come.
you will have a wonderful stay at satp . . . no worries about smoking . . . just be resptful . . .
