So much Jamaican Food in one plate...What do you think?

This was a typical breakfast plate at my home in Accompong Town.

Loved the mixture of okra, callaloo, tomatoes and onions. Different yams and dasheen as they are available. Simple but nourishing.

I've had almost all of the dishes but not jackass corn. Is it like a corn fritter??

That's very good Yetta. However Jackass Corn is not similar to Corn Fritters but more like a crunchy biscuit that has a very unique taste.

Yes captaind, all these are part of the Jamaican Culture, Esecially the Mannish Water and Rundown. :D

Jackass corn is grated coconut mixed with flour ,very little baking powder ,sugar and spices . Its thin and baked tough..
