I tied colorful scarves to ours using the same color on all pieces of luggage. It always worked great until the last time Air Carribbean made me take them off. I do have hot pink luggage tags so that helps some.

I can do one better MoFrom Monroe, I have hot pink luggage! :)
When I had basic black luggage I went to a fabric store and bought white paint that was in a squeeze bottle that had a ball tip. I squiggled lines all over my suitcase. I got so many compliments and was asked where I got my one of a kind pieces. It was easy to find my luggage on the conveyor. I now have a garish set of spinner luggage in a sort of vinylish lime green. I doubt there will be two on the island. ;)
Seems that there were a couple of others whose Bags were opened and Vandalized.......Long Story but I would say it happened in MoBay as the bags arrived on the carousel very shortly after landing in Milwaukee........AirTran went above and beyond to resolve what they could
Some of the belongings (Prescription Sun Glasses) removed from some of our bags were found by someone else on our plane when they got home in their baggage which was also vandalized.....They called AirTran and from the description given to AirTran .......we were contacted and were able to get them back.....But ....they were missing stuff and the bag was ramsacked also..........

I always find it very interesting that with the high price of airfare, security, security screening and security cameras everywhere these days, just how is it that this still goes on?
True I wouldnt blame it on Jamaica... Our carry-ons from mo bay had liquor in them so when we got through customs they made us check that bag... when we got to lax the bag was ruined completely was partially open and the liquor soaked everything... Handle with care means nothing to these people... most of them hate their jobs... perfect example the TSA guy who a couple weeks ago took over Lax and had a freak out....sad....
Don't forget since deregulation baggage handlers, security personnel airport staff are working for the lowest bidders. They work split shifts for close to minimum wage and few benefits. Besides the thefts I have seen many aircraft damaged by careless and disinterested employees. It won't get better anytime soon. Take the offered advice! in fact we should all use JamaicaRobs yellow duct tape. Then we can ID each other as boardies as well!
