    Re: Sangster Airport Thefts

Many years ago I had valuables stolen from my luggage at Kennedy in NYC. Since then I never have anything but clothes and toiletries in my checked bags.

It won't get your items back, but it doesn't hurt to take pictures of your items before closing them up for the airport. This post is unsettling as in less than a month we are taking Air Tran r/t from Milwaukee.. Curious, did you use a TSA lock? I'm guessing it might not help but.....

We always use the TSA locks. We never put valuables in checked luggage though.

The TSA locks are pointless....I got my luggage back without my TSA lock so many times I stopped buying them, I just used the twisty ties from my bread to keep it closed, lol!
As mentioned, dont put anything of value in your checked luggage.

The golf clubs may have just gone to the wrong city - how in the world would an employee be able to walk off the job with them - I've seen how the supervisors watch and frisk the employees in that airport. Besides, I would imagine there isnt much of a market for them in JA. However, anything is possible!

I live in NYC where the agents are consistently busted for theft. Overall, hundreds and hundreds of TSA agents have been terminated for theft here in the US.

Just got back as well, TSA locks on the cases - nothing missing. As with the others, we never put anything we can't afford to lose in the cases. How can you be so sure the theft happened at the Sangster end?

I started using packing cubes in my suitcases, and for some reason I don't think tsa has ever opened them. Also never pack anything valuable when checking through! Carry on the valuables and as someone else once said (can't remember who)leave the bling at home!

The Limo Mon's #1 rule LEAVE THE BLING AT HOME! I had a suitcase come up missing on arriving at MBJ. Had all our clothes for the 10day trip. A Kingston man took the wrong suitcase. The security at MBJ made him bring it to me and check it out make sure all was good. Then I called MBJ for them to release his suitcase. He tried to just take mine back to MBJ but they told him not getting yours till he checks it out. So he had it brought to me.
