For us boardies not on a permanent vacation, what do you do for a living back home?

I work for one of the bigger telcoms as a disaster recovery engineer...Simply put, I deploy and administer computer systems that help small and large organizations backup and protect their data.

My wife & I own a company that helps others to protect their assets.

I'm a Senior Paralegal, of a global asset management company and an inspiring Group Fitness instructor so when I retire I could travel the world and meet people and workout for a living especially in places like Jamaica!!!!!!

Yet another one - Senior Paralegal.

I am a licenced hairstylist and Early Intervention behaviour specialist for children with Autism

I am a Daycare operator, and Jim is a carpenter. The kids break it, Jim fixes it~

technically Department of Defense... in all reality I work in a chowhall... Serving those who serve!!!!!

Work as a Microbiologist in a hospital and specialize in parasites - look out for the hookworms in the damp sand in the shade at the beach in the Jamaica - dogs poop out eggs, they hatch, and the worms crawl into your skin around your toes - with a name like "creeping eruption" it's something you might want to avoid!

I am a CART provider. I provide captions for the deaf and hard of hearing. (Think closed captions on tv) I do live realtime captions. Most of my clients are college students. They get a realtime feed on a laptop or iPad of what the professor says (just like captioning on tv!).

While my job helps others live their dreams, my wife Pooper is the star in the household. Her life after her military career is serving animals as an RVT. She has worked zoos, aquariums, rescues, and is passionate about doing anything and everything for an animal. I picked them up last year on my foot and it freaked me right out. I saw three doctors in the next 6 months. The first one tried topically freezing them with liquid nitrogen....fail. The second prescribed pills....fail. The third simply said they'll disappear. I finally gave up. For all I know they in my gut as I type. What the hell cures these things?

We have contracted hookworm a couple times. It's really nasty stuff. Itches like crazy and feels like your skin is crawling, which it literally is. Fortunately, our doc had spent time in the Caribbean and knew exactly what it was, and one dose of Ivermectin did the trick, both times.

I had a girlfriend named Hookworm once.
