Thank you Melody. I wasn't worried a bit. I can say that this small disruption did bring my wife and I just a little bit closer. We've just had it to easy these day and needed a bit of excitement. :)

Thanks Angel. Two weeks from tonight. We're really getting excited. It's been far to long since we've seen Negril.

You're so right. We are making a short list of every moment we'll be at the beach. All the new places to see, although few, we are reading up on the eateries we failed to enjoy to this point.

Enjoy your trip. I once had to change my ticket with Caribbean Air. My license has an initial and my passport has my middle name. Did it by phone and it was no problem. Sometimes it is just better to look someone in the face though.

Oh, we both agree by the experience my wife had with the first person she spoke to that you can never be sure what you get when you speak to someone on the phone. According to my wife that first woman was rude and totally inaccurate. As stated before the rules were the rules and no way could we avoid buying new tickets. I almost went for it was it not for the wonderful advice I received here. There is no need to even bother with the mismatch of names vs initials. And no way is it required to pay double. I can't help but wonder how many people actually did just that due to one sad excuse for a US Airways employee.
Face to face all the way from now on.

Great news! Enjoy your trip :)

I am not a travel agent. The "groups" I book for is friends and family. Perhaps I should have made it clear that I do not book thru websites......I go directly thru the airlines.

That's definitely what I will be doing from now on. Good advice. Thanks.
