It's human nature to try justifying your actions with twisted logic. I see it all the time. It's somehow OK to steal from the government. Commit fraud to collect on an insurance claim. Steal from large corporations.
Defendant:
"Your honor....yes I stole but it was from a large corporation and it was just a small amount. Surely there's nothing wrong with that."
The Judge:
"Your correct and your actions should be commended, even rewarded. Here's three get out of jail free cards."
