Fred Fred Fred...you just had to stir the pot!!

As weird as this thread is...I also find the reactions quite interesting.

Over the years, I've read the promotion of many illegal activities here and on other forums & some activities that are a magnitude worse...
the promotion of illegal "subs" (which the consequences could be much worse if caught), advertising of illegal white plate 'taxis's' (won't even get into this one), promoting illegal 'restaurants' (squatting on land with no running water or health regulations being observed), prostitution (both male & female) and even something as simple as bringing in your own liquor to an event/bar because someone doesn't want to pay their prices.

Many of these activities get cheered on & in no way criticized as harshly as Fred has been for his thieving.
NO, I'm not encouraging his behaviour or judging anyone's opinion...just curious about the contradictions.

The one thing that will come out of this thread, since I know the Couples family & know they read Negril.com...is that the security will be tightened up to try to prevent this in the future. Way to go Fred!!! LOL!!!

I like this thread because it has brought Smith out of hiding.

My wife and I and another couple did a similar, 'drink stealing' thing while staying at the Riu complex in Punta Cana in 2009. There were five Riu's all grouped together. We were staying at one of the three 'regular' Riu's and were encouraged by the management to visit, drink and dine the other two. However, there were two Riu Palace's and we were told we couldn't enter those, so of course . . .

One morning we decided to tour all the swimming pools at all five of the Rius and get a drink and take photos at each one of them. There were 14 pools in all, including the reflecting pools and fountains in front of their 'Grande Palace Riu'. The Palaces were the last pools were visited, so we had all consumed at least 10 drinks by the time we got there. We did manage to get 'free' cocktails at the Palaces, but it took some subterfuge - they wore bracelets at the Palaces. Of course the girls just walked up to the bar flashed big smiles and pushed out their chests - and they got their drinks. Me and the other guy had to work a little harder.

We accomplished our mission and had a fun time (even though we weren't in Negril ) and I think the Riu survived our 'drink pilferring'.

Slip the bartender 500J and he wont even care who you are...Like I said,just act like you belong.I have gone right through the front door lobby..You just need to know the room numbers....I use 2218.....If you said youre in room 890(youre busted)....They dont have those numbers.....Gee,I never thought a few drinks would alter the heavens?

Great....so not only are you a thief, but you also want to put the bartender in a position to be fired for accepting a tip!!!!!

Dont worry about it. Some people might go there and barely drink at all, so it I am sure it evens out.

Like others have said, if everyone takes advantage of it the way you have, then there might be trouble. However, I doubt your 6 pina colodas are going to topple the empire

HaHa Fred U a Rebel.....I love it!!! F the big corporations!!! I wouldn't make a habit of it but that's kinda funny!!! I snuck in one of the AI's but just to look around I didn't have the cajones to try to get a drink......Yea lighten up people he's just being honest and keeping it real, remember only God can judge.
