So,to put a twist on it,,,what is it that you have Never done in Negril?

After many,many trips I have Never been to the Pelican Bar ???????

Never been to Pelican bar, never been on a jet ski, never set foot on Negril Beach Club nor Sunset on Beach, never been up most of the lanes that climb the hills in the cliffs including never venturing past Seastar Inn, never been in Push Cart, never been to Black River. Never been in Country Country. Never jumped the cliff at Ricks but have done so at Xtabi.

I've never thought about all the things I've never done in Negril. :rolleyes:

Never made it up late enough to see a headline show anywhere in Negril,
Never let it all hang out in Negril (as in going topless, nude sunbathing, skinny dipping),
Never been to Just Natural, Canoe or Seastar (on my list),
Never met Rob and Lisa or any boardies :( (yet!).
Correction: I did meet boardies MoGlenn and Sweetsop one year (nice people!).

I've never made a snowman in Negril or any other place I've been on the island. It would be very smooth headed if I did!

Never had a day without lots of red stripes

Only been to Negril 4 times. We are not usually the go back to the same place folks. Never done most things in Negril. We stay on the beach (Long Bay), walk, eat, drink, sit under a tree. We take a ride to the cliffs for a drink and/or meal once each trip. Once we went and walked Bloody Bay, once we went and walked along the beach by the boardwalk village, once we took a boat along the coast. When we do a beach vacation we pretty much do one thing other that walk the beach, eat, drink, sit under a tree.

Never met Fred Stripe!! Need to someday, you are a hoot.!!!!:)

Never stayed at Sea Star
Never Jumped off of any cliffs
Never seen out of town pastries
Never been to Cosmos
Never been to the Market at Sav

Never Snorkeled the reef.

Plan on crossing several off the list in April/Ray

Never been to pelican bar but I am going for my anniversary in 4 days

I've never done anything outside of West End
Always make plans to go to ys falls Appleton tour pelican bar and it never happens

Well, there's lots I haven't done..but here are the top ones.
*Never had a sub in Jamaica
*Never been to Pelican Bar - although it's on my "list"
*Never stayed on the cliffs
*Never had a day without a Stripe...or a rum punch...or a dirty banana...or some combo of them all
*Never stayed up past midnight
*Never rented a scooter or a car
*Never been stressed out - even with a wedding and a lot of newbies last year!

Never been to Rick's. And not sure we ever will.

Never been to Pelican Bar
Never had cake
Never stopped at Bigga's
Never walked past the lighthouse

Have not been to many a place for dining. Like that I still have so many places to try.
Never been to the lighthouse.
Never been to Margaritaville.
Never had a dirty banana.
Never did an "excursion".
Have never returned to the same place in the Caribbean except for Negril.

Wouldn't recommend it. We did because everyone says you should but it's the biggest money trap I've ever seen. Such a stark contrast from Negril. I can't imagine if that was a persons only impression of Negril....so wrong...

A friend posted a link of Facebook of the best bars in the Caribbean. Ricks cafe was #10 and the only bar in Jamaica on the list. That's how I knew the list was crap.

I disagree about Ricks. It's fun to watch the cliff divers jump from so high -- one of the few places in the world you can see such a thing. Plus, it's the only place to see a really large group of tourists all in the same spot, and that provides a feel of excitement so some peeps. Plus, there is often a live band for free, plus a swimming pool on an island where there aren't pools at every property.

There are indeed some positives to being at Ricks. Never in my considerable history with Negril have I failed to visit at least once.

I like Ricks. Sure the drinks are a bit over priced, but their chicken dip kicks ass.


If you are going to spend a couple hours there. You can buy a bottle of appleton and mixers for 50 bucks. More expensive than outside the gates? Sure... But 50 bucks split between 2 or 3 people is nothing.

I enjoy watching the divers, and watching the boats come in from the AIs.

Same here, Gerry! Never eat there, though. Just have a couple drinks and move on to somewhere else for dinner before sunset.

So, to go off in a slightly different direction. What have you done in Negril that you wouldn't do again? Top of my list would be I wouldn't buy food at Ricks again. I think I paid $10 for exactly 11 corn chips and a small amount of salsa that tasted like Pace Mild. I'll visit and drink, but that's it. Also never again eat a sub walking down the beach at 3am.

There's a story here...

It's always been my intention to go to Rick's at least once, but it's just never been in the cards. On our last trip, we even stayed within walking distance of Rick's and just never made it over there. I guess it's because we always stay cliffside, and can easily watch the sunset and the AI boats from a private balcony with our own drinks and whatnot. So, there is not much allure for us to go to a crowded bar and watch the sunset.

I think the main driver is that we try to avoid crowds as much as possible. We've watched the divers from Sir D's on multiple occasions.

Things I've never done....there are sooo many things but to narrow it down to a few...

Red Dragon
booby cay
half moon beach
scrub a dub
jump off that lighthouse

Things I've done that I probably wont do again:

Large group day trips
YS Falls (love it don't get me wrong just been a few times and I'm good)
Ricks Café (it was cool once....maybe I'd go back I don't know)
Black River
The Cop Shop - I was a little weirded out going in but went with it anywys. had beers while i was there and played some bones. Def a one time thing lol

Surprised you havent been to scrub a dub.

Agree with the large group day trip. Nothing against anyone on the trip, it's just too much to get everyone moving in the same direction.
