I will be in Negril next March I would like to take a trip to Orange Hill and see where the Subs grow. I would like to find the best subs on the Island. Does anyone know of a driver that is familiar with the area? Thanks in advance

we did the tour 2 years ago,our driver (Name removed) would be happy to take you for a tour, he is a licenced, insured, red plate, non drinker,876-###-#### (number and name removed to protect driver's identity - as much as there are changes happening quickly, ganja is still illegal to grow), soon come
(Name removed) is taking us in country on Tuesday Rob. Thanks for the hook up.
Gotta be smarter about the sub acquisitions.
I can grow better in my back yard
Check strain hunters jamaica on you tube.
Missing the concept of "private". :)
I must disagree with you non believers. No you can not grow better! Some of the finest in the world has been grown between Lucea and Negril over the years. If you have not come across any of this do not fool yourself into thinking you know! You obviously do not!
Great answer! You know, I had to read that post several times to completely understand it myself and it just left me with a headache. Maybe it was brought on by crappy weed. Yep, "I am just thinking I know but obviously do not".
I will wait now to be publicly chastised for fooling myself.
Peace and Guidance
Eh, what's a sub?
The National Geographic Channel is running a segment, "Gangs, Guns & Ganja" which focuses on Kingston & MoBay. I think it's from 2012. What they say about ganga (and other drugs) in Jamaica is interesting. What's even more interesting is what the dealers have to say about the tourists. Catch the segment if you can!
And in turn, I now have a headache. I'm not criticizing at all, I've found some mighty fine subs in JA, a Panama Red haogie being my favorite by a mile. The issue is in the, eh, preparation and conditions from farm to harvest that in the end either makes or breaks the final quality. I believe strongly in soil grown (I could talk for days on this) produce for my subs, but outdoor prepared Jamaican subs just can't quite match what can be prepared stateside under a roof. Sammiches.
[I love you, Papa Georgie! I asked the same question a few months ago on another thread! I had no clue! Somebody posted they had found a sub in their shirt pocket and I was, like, thinking Subway sandwich and what would possess you to eat a Subway sandwich you found in your pocket. I still haven't heard the end of it from the Montreal Chapter of this board! One actually said "You were SERIOUS? Oh Noooooo ....." Yeah. Bless you PG. I love you. And in keeping with the rules I believe in, I have PM'd you the definition ....

If you are questioning the quality of Jamaican soil? Or if you think that natural bat guano does not suffice for your synthetics, with out being critical I would question your concept of quality! But enjoy!
I know people that live in Orange Hill, it has actually developed into an area of fine homes and you should be careful milling around in some one's back yard!
[QUOTE=georgelenard;142918]I very carefully said that I'm a soil guy, I don't do synthetics of any kind. Thanks. And as to the soil in JA, it is probably the finest soil you can find. The issue comes down to controlling the environment, which you simply cannot do outdoors. I'm not going any further with this, as it's almost as bad as talking about route taxis (and this probably isn't the forum for this discussion anyhow). Have a good day.
Thanks M&G,
Kind of figured that...but had to ask for the hell of it. Hell I'm so old I call 'em "reefers" :p
Ok, lets try this...eh, what's a route taxi? ;)
I'm visiting ocho rios on December 04 and only want to tour the finest would you pass along the info without posting it on the forum please I would def appreciate it
Its all about the taste, not the proof. Try cooking with it. A Jamaican stir fry would be out of this world. :)
Its all about dat bass , its all about dat bass no treble ...................... It s all in the boom boom, france has its champagne , jamaica has its subs.
Fools rush in . . .
giddyup
Huh y'all speaking forum code or something charas really
First you have to get a free bracelet on the beach, from there it'll find you.
Those free bracelets...they're sorta like the keys to the city in Negril....
Ochi is quite a ways from Negril, maybe look around the Nine Mile area for something closer to where you're staying?
Thank you
Yes to the free bracelet! Hahahahaaa......
