Don't do it.
If you cant do the time, dont do the crime....
JUST SAY NO!!!! (to the hustlers) ;)
In Mass where I am from and my family still lives it's almost legal from what I've heard. I am tested where I work so I have little choice but to obey.
Do they test you for alcohol in your system too? It's more dangerous, toxic and destroys more lives? Not to mention the liver :)
My husband works for a large company with offices all over the US and still gets drug tested too. Everybody that drives a company vehicle has to submit to the surprise tests. It's not for alcohol but if you get caught driving while drinking it's an automatic firing.
Regardless of what anyone thinks, it is what the owner of the establishment thinks. Sometimes openly smoking ganja invites a sort of "slackness" that the owner wants to avoid regardless of their personal feelings towards ganja.
Though prevalent, ganja is still illegal in Jamaica and perhaps some day soon that will change but we must respect the wishes of those Jamaicans who do want to ban ganja smoking from their establishments whether ganja is legal or not.

Colorado just made it "legal" to own& buy weed.Smart? Ann Arber,Michigan has had it legal to residents for 1oz for years.Gee,lets see,rum good, cigarettes good, good but weed bad, bad? Legalize, create jobs, decrease the power of the cartel, have supervision of the product, tax it big time and reduce the cost to the buyers.....Less tax money for folks in jail etc...Win/Win....??????
Welcome to the board Al. ;) Love it when someone opens up with a cracker!
On second thought I can't say for sure if we are tested for alcohol. Can they tell from what you supply them in that cup? I do know we are under the control of Homeland Security who paid us a visit last month along with the FBI. We have all new cameras everywhere so I am not sure of anything any more. We are told we could be a terrorist target due to the radioactive material we have on site. "I know nothing"

You won't be wearing a white robe as well?
"On second thought I can't say for sure if we are tested for alcohol. Can they tell from what you supply them in that cup?"
YES...that and a few more, like Meth..........My wife is a State Licensed "Sample Taker" (lol)...anytime a trucker was involved in a accident.......... /urine/blood would be taken..many nights I drove her the 50 miles at 3:00 to the Hospital where the driver would be waiting
Who tests her? Doe's she make you pee in a cup all the time so she can practice? How is your aim? Are the cups reusable,ya know to save the environment?
Drug testing was just passed in Texas for those receiving unemployment benefits.... HOWEVER, whoever drew up the bill should be drug tested themselves....
the bill is not for everyone, it's only going to be mandatory for those who were in positions that were already being drug tested due to safety issues with their
job, or if it was required by the Labor Board..... this does not include those who work jobs that don't drug test as part of employment, in other words, people
who got their jobs without testing, could do drugs before, during, and then after when they get unemployment benefits... this solves nothing.... and does nothing
to discourage usage during unemployment
Personally, I don't want the person driving a bus, especially school buses, or anyone doing a job which could threaten the lives of their co-workers or innocent
people doing drugs while performing their duties.... testing should be done for keeping a safe environment...... I have one of those jobs
But as a former occasional smoker..... I get a little bent out of shape that someone can get drunk off their asses every evening after work without fear of
reprisal.... but someone who takes the edge off with a little ganja for the same reason is criminal.... very hypocritical.... but again, if you have a job that tests
for cause... then you don't really have a choice, because if an accident occurs and you test +, then all the liability falls on you and the company can relieve
themselves of all responsibility regardless if you are at fault... so if you partake, the target is on your back
I think to each their own, but if your job depends on it, or its a safety issue.... gotta be smart and responsible... and for all the states that have passed laws making it legal...
that's progress in my mind... but it will not release you from the testing for your job, so for some the legalization really has no effect....
Ok... soapbox off.....
It's a very complicated issue. The facts are clouded in smoke. (pun intended). If one partakes on his time off what he does can show up on a test given a long time after the fact and the ability to be impaired may be nonexistent. A test taken from a hair sample can prove positive results. How long ago might that have been?
I have no freedom to use any substance unless I want to lose my job PERIOD. Even if I am out of the country and am on vacation. So needles to say I will do what is best for my future. I had a very close friend that was a hopeless alcoholic and would have died if he continued his use of a legal substance. What saved his life was his replacement of that legal drug with an illegal one and he lived a very happy life much longer than anyone would have bet on. He died a happy man instead of wasting away with endless depression as a worthless individual.
Now they are debating if it's acceptable to take DNA from those innocent people that are arrested. Innocent because they have not had a trial and proven to be a criminal. DNA has a far reaching consequence and if only people knew what the implications are. They are NOW taking DNA from victims to use in a process that can eliminate there sample but is kept in a data base. When your DNA is taken your whole family's DNA in part of that sample. If your brother commits a crime they can arrest YOU.
So much for freedom. They already have our phone calls and email. What could they possibly want next?
If my brother commits a crime they can arrest ME? UM,,,,Don't think so? If that's correct then why stop there Al? Why can't they arrest my grandmother or my Uncle or my second cousin?
I am simply repeating what I heard on NPR a few days ago. If I can find it I can post a link. DNA can carry a lot. Including who you are related to. You may be arrested as I understand it but who knows what will happen from that point on. I can't answer your question as I know little more than anyone else and less than many. If a family member commits a crime and leaves their DNA and yours is in a data base it seems logical they would be coming your way. NO?
DNA samples can tell siblings and parents apart........
Yes that is true. If they know who the samples are coming from in the beginning it makes things very simple. If not then..................
careful, the NSA could be tracking this thread.;)

I don't feel that way at all. I love what I do. I like the above normal high wages and lax working environment. Not salary so I get time and a half OT which is unlimited. No time clock and no accountability for how long it takes to complete a project. Unlimited sick pay. No boss around to watch you. I can't think anything could possibly get any better. I work very hard without taking coffee breaks, I don't drink the stuff. The old guy( two of us in the shop) hangs around talking most of the day and does what he pleases which is hanging around talking all the time. I don't drink or smoke and couldn't be in better health and am as happy as a lark. Life is grand because I am the best at what I do. What could possibly be better? Our organization made a record monthly sales of over $7,000,000.
Oh ya, I am was born in the '40s and am proud of the excellent condition I'm in. I take no meds and plan on living forever.
Poor me? Not according to me.
