Cool Runnings, Marko
Boat bar.
Thanks, ill give em a try,Marko, you play in the Canadian/Jamaican tourney?
The "pool bar" (so called by locals - I do not know the real name) is between Pure Garden & Coral Gardens - sets back off the road in the trees. Lot's of action there if you have a decent game.
Also, Coral Gardens has a very nice table, brand new in February 2013. Not many players at CG.
There used to be one at the old Winner's down between Tait Plaza and the Police Station. I think the name has changed and maybe the pool table is gone. Don't know for sure. They had horse racing right next door. It is now more of a plaza.
The cop shop didn't have a pool table that I saw in May. However, the bar is a great spot as is the dominoes table on the back side. Right off that area is a soccer field and my friends and I had the pleasure of watching a great game as well as some great bones..
several officers swung by and offered up great dialogue.....
That place Booger is talking about ,I am pretty sure is owned by Barbbarn, Spyda is no longer there, Winston that used to be at Seasplash was trying to get it going for a while, but I dont think he is there anymore.
Winners wasn't affiliated with the police station although enough police officers went there. It sits on the corner of the main road and the road that goes up to Redground.
Once again thanks, ill check the one by blue cave
I just got back from the Palm Court tonite. Its set back on Hermitage road by the twisty corner past the corner bar as you are going up to the westend. There is a big church there and the big concrete wall you gotta hug as you walk by. Lots of action and the best shooters are always there. I'll be here to Thursday if anyone wants to meet and shoot.
You around this feb?
Just a "heads-up" for any 1st time pool shooters in Jamaica. Bring your own stick, chalk and powder. You'll be glad you did. I usually bring a $20-$30, 2pc, cheapo & leave it with a "shooter" - win-win for all.
