As a diehard beer drinker, I am unsure if you can get any types of coolers in Negril. We are coming down in March with some newbs and one question is "Do they have coolers, like Mikes Hard Lemonade, Palm Bays, Smirnoff Ice?" and I am at a loss here. Any idea? Have assured her that she will not go thirsty, but cannot answer this....help!!!!
They have Smirnoff Ice both red and black, and some of the Smirnoff flavoured ones for sure.
Yup...no worries...4 flavours of Smirnoff Ice...no Mike's that I've seen...there are other brands here to try also...
Smirnoff Ice is huge in Negril and most bars and stores carry it.....
like Bnewb said there are other ones too......not a problem

I got a collapsible cooler at the Mega Mart in Mobay but it was junk....started leaking after first use. I recommend bringing a soft cooler from home as your carry on.
have done the soft side thing, without a fridge need some thing larger. and give away b4 departure.Quote:

The first two you can find in most bars...the second two you can find in the main grocery stores & a few bars.
we always used a "soft" cooler from Coleman, as one carry on, filled with consumables.....use it as a cooler
while your there, then dry and pack with whatever, use it as a carry on again......

My wife also is not a beer drinker. She drinks Smirnoff Ice while we are there. We also take a single serve blender, so we can make our own drinks in the room. We have an igloo collapsible cooler. They are the best. Have tried others, but they have just fallen apart very quickly.
Thank you all for your help with this.....coolers of all shapes, flavors and sizes. Will let Kim know, not that she isn't counting the days already. 54 and she has never been on a winter vacay!!!!!! Can't wait to see her do the happy dance off the plane and never let her feet touch the ground for a week! Will be an extra special trip this time!!
When I saw "Coolers in Negril" I was thinking about real hard shell cooler that you store ice n drinks and was thinking who would travel with a cooler...I know Duh! lol:rolleyes:
