Re: Ok time to ask for help
Haven't stayed there so can't comment on it, but we just booked White Sands and it was $57 a night. That price is for either garden or beach side in a standard room.
We haven't ever stayed there either, normally stay at Cocolapalm when we are on the beach but this trip is a very budgeted trip so thought we would give WS a try.
Re: Ok time to ask for help
Thank you.. I did look at white sands too actually.. They look very nice and 57 isn't a bad price at all.. I was just hoping for a little cheaper so that I could splurge on a nice room for a couple nights

Re: Ok time to ask for help
I have stayed at coral seas beach which is now sunset on the beach. Coral seas garden is accross the street from beach near the near the end of the beach hotels near the round about. Never stayed there but had friends who stayed and said average at best. We just returned from a stay at white sands room was very clean and the shower was redone very nice with room for two! Save water you know. The beach bar was a great place to hang Tony is a great guy. We paid 69 but book with the hotel direct and get it cheaper. I would stay there again. Hope this helps.

Re: Ok time to ask for help
My wife did some extensive research...coral seas started out as a place for us and we would not hesitate to stay there....search markospoon on this board..he stays there regular and he is a repsected boardie...every place we have stayed at has had some bad reviews (lots) on trip advisor...we have not been unsatisfied yet...most of the negative reviews are from someone expecting 5 star service and things at a budget rate....dont take those too serious, just use as a way to gather info...
the best rates she found beachside was at white sands and travelers, both about 57.00...rinakim, who answered above found us white sands deal, so we are staying there, along with some other soon to be friends...janet also saw a good deal, about 45.00 at footprints, but it is on the other end of the beach from where we normally stay, so we didnt consider it too much....
you will like xtabi, a great place to stay cliffside for a first timer....check the trip report in my signature, our 1st trip to jamaica was in 09, and we spent alot of time at xtabi...i have lots of pics for you to get an idea.....we were very close to making it our cliff place this time....and the seaside cottages will give you all the privacy you need...
my wife said you and I sound like we could be good friends, just by your couple of posts she read...
and I promise you will get the vibe I was talking about in the pm, and it will all be cool...just use a little common sense and then just blend right in...
peace, my brother....
