Bob Marley's Birthday

Today is the birthday, or in Rastafari slang, "earthstrong" of Jamaica's legendary Bob Marley. Bob Marley was born Robert Nesta Marley on February 6th, 1945 in the rural community of Rhoden Hall, Nine Miles, set in the mountainous terrain of the parish of St. Ann. Born to Cedella Malcolm and Captain Norval Sinclair Marley, the family moved to Trenchtown, Kingston and in 1962, Bob formed a band called the Wailing Wailers with Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer. The rest is music history. Today we want to celebrate the life and incredible music of this most amazing talent. Happy EarthStrong Bob!
