The West End

Negril developed from a small, quite fishing village in the 1960's to the resort area it is today. When visitors began showing up in some serious numbers in the 70's, the West End was the place to stay. Today we are featuring a photo of the West End taken at Swordfish Restaurant at the bottom of Tigress Lane. Back in the day, Tigress Lane marked the end of the "beaten path" and only the more adventurous would head out father on the West End. Today it is easy to catch a taxi all the way out past the Negril lighthouse and Rick's Cafe has become one of the best known tourist stops in the world!
