Labour Day in Jamaica
May 24th, 2013
Yesterday, Thursday the 23rd was the Jamaican holiday of Labour Day. Jamaicans all over the island used this day off to focus on community projects. Some towns repaired buildings, painted walls and fences or created a flower garden as shown above. Dr. The Honorable Wykeham McNeilll, the Member of Parliament for Western Westmoreland, Jamaica and the current Minister of Tourism and Entertainment of Jamaica was in attendance. Negril.com has had a long association with Dr. Wykeham McNeill as he was our Jamaican connection to the 1996 Oympic Summer Games in Atlanta. Today's Negril Today is courtesy of his Constituency team. We would like to thank Dr. Wykeham McNeill and his Constituency team for all they are doing to help improve and promote Negril and Jamaica.
