Independence 50th Anniversary

August 6th, 2012

Monday 6th of August 2012 marks the 50th Anniversary of Jamaica's independence from British rule. At the first seconds of August 6th, 1962, the Union Jack flag was lowered and the flag of Jamaica was raised for the first time over the island. All of Jamaica is celebrating in style today and all of us at Negril.com want to wish everyone all the best for the next 50 years!
