Jamaica Independence Day

August 5th - 6th, 2013

Tuesday August 6th is Jamaica's 51st Independence day and there are celebrations being held island wide. The Minister of Tourism, Dr. Hon. Wykeham McNeil expressed his feelings, which are shared by many, "Our flag was raised on this day in 1962 which gave birth to this beautiful nation and is a reminder of our past triumphs and achievements and of what we can accomplish in the future.
