I've been wanting to do Pelican Bar for years, but just never can spare the time away from Negril to make it there. Don't plan too much; you definitely want to enjoy the vibe of the beach. Get used to the vendors each day and try the fruits, juice, patties, pork, etc. I've met so many newbies that would never have tried the vendors' foods if we didn't show them how good they are! It is definitely part of the vibe. You'll find yourself looking for Dean, the jerk pork guy, or Norman, the patty man, and realize that you might have to go down the beach to them or they'll run out before they get to you! Go to Niah over in Wavz park and get a patty made-to-order. So worth the wait and Niah is a great guy to talk to. Buy a Red Stripe from the lady next door and another warm one for Niah.

Visit Maureen and Robert down the beach at Sunnyside. Definitely do the pub crawl and try to do it early on in your trip in case you want to revisit some of the bars later on! Walk the beach in the morning when it is nice and quiet and the water is calm. Try the breakfast at Country Country and order the banana pancakes! Walk down to Best in the West across from Cocolapalm for great jerk, or stop at Step Aside further down toward the roundabout.

Thanks! We booked the One Love Bus Crawl for day after we arrive--that will give us some time for return visits!
