There is a brand of Jamaican Blue Mountain "instant" Cofee that a lot of the restaurants use.
If I were to say it is delicious, that would be an understatement.
I asked the waitress "what brand is this"
She showed my the jar and label.
From that day on, I was on a mission. To find that brand.
I did not have to go far.
Right at the round about store there it was!
I brought the jar home and every morning, I was brought a big cup just the way I like it.
Oh, I forgot to say. My sis in law followed me into the kitchen and was staring at me the first time I made a cup.
"I see you brought a big cup too" she said."
"Oh yeah, I brought this from Chicago.
"I am watching so I know just how much sugar, cream and how much coffee you put in it."
"Well, bless your heart" I said.
Every morning, like clockwork, the kids were up, showered, ate breakfast and out the door.
The noise of course would wake me, and I was ready for my coffee.
Sis would bring it in, just the way I like it. (ahhh) so nice.
But, after a while, I would naturally rise a little earlier every day and be ready for the Java.
"hmm, let me figure this out.
I would go into the kitchen, the kiids still eating B-fast and I'd make my own.
They have this cute little coffee pot.
Fill it 1/2 full of water, put it on the burner, find the starter/lighter turn the gas and VOILA!! FIRE!!
"Mark, why you standing there" she would say. "You know a watched pot never boils"
Huh? Oh? hee hee.
I walk back to my room, wait just a little while (because I gotta have it)
Back to the kitchen and the water ready.
Fill the cup, 2 teaspoons coffe, 2 sugar and a sprinkle of non-dairy cream.
Grab my cup and I start to pour.
I love to hear that sound of water on the side of a very hot tin coffee pot while you are pouring it into something.
Tsssssstssssssstssss.
Man, this is gonna be nice with an early morning smoke!
The simplest things are truly the best
Perfect!
