Saw a facebook post this morning... collapse of the new construction at the old Grand Lido. Sounded like up to 6 people dead!
At 6 AM this morning a major section of the former Grand Lido (soon to be a Royalton) collapsed. Some workers are currently trapped, dozens injured and have been dispatched to area hospitals. I amended this post because the article that said there were deaths involved showed up on my news feed but I cannot now find it and no other sources are reporting in fatalities as yet.
I have a gentleman here doing some work for me who told me yesterday that he was waiting on a call to go to work construction at one of the big hotels. They called and he was supposed to go this morning but told them he could not because he had not finished my job yet. He just told me he is glad he came here instead.

Just read that this morning on the Gleaner. Did'nt see anything about 6 dead though. (sad)
