I've heard that the tourist cannabis trade in Negril has gone complete open, instead of only mildly so.

Have bars/restaurants begun to declare themselves friendly or opposed? I do remember a few "No Ganja" signs when I was last upon the rock, but that was....almost 3 years ago...

Are there actual "dispenseries" or retail establishments?

Docs 420... Formerly the sky bar... Is the closest thing as of yet... Just got back may2.... Certainly far from what a dispensary is in the states but the closest I've encountered in negril... I assume you will see a lot more popping up in the relative near future

Also Wake and Bake Cafe, don't know if they actually dispense pot but they do have bakery and popcorn. And their breakfast is pretty good.

True, but not legally. It appears you can get a "self declare" permit for two ounces now. Big difference.
If they don’t have a prescription, then they can do what we call ‘self-declare’, and this will allow them to have the two ounces while they are here,” CLA Chairman Hyacinth Lightbourne told to the Jamaica Gleaner.

What! It was illegal all these decades?

My husband died too soon to see this. He had it down to a science. Buy a tiny quantity at the airport. Check into the hotel. Put on old, faded tie-dye "Negril" T-shirt. Scope out the road and beach to find the "designated guy" (since every hotel seemed to have one). He'd be back within about 20 minutes with his first batch. Every time another state has legalized, I say to him (of course he's not here) "You couldn't even wait around for THIS?" Alas, I don't partake so it does me no good.

The only thing that has changed is the people selling you the ganja!

where at the airport can you buy pot (tiny quantity). I wouldn't buy it from a vending machine ever. Just curious?
