This morning I woke up this morning, day 6. May or may have not had too many Red Stripes yesterday! Yesterday we had our friends and their kids over for spaghetti dinner so our morning consisted of wakey wake, some coffee for the hubs and some tea for me. We walk to quality trader to get some groceries. It was HOT HOT in the store so of course I was parched! The only thing to cure my thirst, why a Red Stripe If course. We come back to the condo, unpack the groceries and then go see Rusty at Errol's for more beer.
Our friends arrive and we start to cook. We set out the chips for the kids and get them juice as they love the Tropicana juice. Everyone enjoys dinner and has full bellies. We sit and visit then soon the hubs makes them some fresh popcorn! They love the popcorn and request more.
I bring out the gifts that we brought for them and everyone is happy. It's late by now and the kids have school in the morning. Garry will be back to pick us up for our trip to the Marchtown Basic School.
Up and at em early as I canny sleep anymore. I begin my morning as I do every morning here with a hot tea. We shower, get ready head to Travelers for the good wifi as I need to make a call to our realtor. We are selling and buying a new house at the same time as we are on vacation.
Garry arrives at 11, we head out to Marchtown and stop to get school supplies and ice cream on the way to the school. We get to the school and all the children are hollering, hello, hi, etc....
It's hot as Haiti out but this is my favorite day. Garry's wife teaches here and we always bring school supplies, a snack and have a wonderful visit with the kids. This trip did not disappoint only we were able to bring our kids this time and they loved it. We play in the yard with the kids on the teeter totter and the see saw. When the kids want to show us a trick or something special they yell out "white people, look". These kids were so sweet. One got her head bunked by another child so I pick her up to soothe her, sway and rock and soon she is fast asleep.
The older boys and girls came down too on their lunch time and chatted us up, taught us about cricket and showed us the field they play in.
Soon it is time to head back after about 2 hours and buckets of sweat from the heat. The kids heat up spaghetti dinner and we head to Travelers for lunch a drink and a few red stripes. It's their Buffett and bin fire tonight. We haven't decided where we will have dinner yet. The kids are in the sea swimming and I think that's where we will head next.... On to day 7 tomorrow! One Love!
