On my last trip I saw this exact car, checkers and route marking but it had a white plate instead of red. I'm guessing that it isn't a legit taxi without the red plates?

~Just my two cents worth - I mostly only comment on places I've seen and or eaten at personally.
All legal route taxis have to have the route wording painted on both sides, the checkered stripe around, the taxi light on top AND the red plate on the vehicle. The driver can and will be ticketed or worse.
