i had been curious about pure garden but whenever i was at times square, there were always a lot of hangers on the property . . . hustling . . . kind of put a damper on even looking at it . . .
so, did you check it out?

Yes, we did check it out. When you say hangers on the property, do you actually mean in front of the property. Keep in mind that Pure Garden is right beside Times Square and you will usually find cabs and vendors in front of the property. The grounds seemed very well kept as does the pool and bar/restaurant area at the rear of the property. There are 4 or 5 blocks of rooms. There were a number of rooms occupied when we were there. The rooms we saw were quite adequate and clean. The rooms at the rear of the property have all been renovated/updated. All the kitchenettes are toward the rear of the property by the pool. We have booked 2 kitchenette for over New Years as we have friends joining us. $ 99.00 for a kitchenette. I guess I'll have a first hand experience. The reviews on Tripadviser seem quite good.
Saturday afternoon arrived and it was time to get something to eat. We had heard good things about Keneys Chinese Restaurant which was located right next door at Errol's Sunset cafe. The food was fantastic and we had enough left over for 2 box lunchs for later.
Yum!

Staying at Travellers Beach Resort was very pleasant. The buildings and grounds were always very well kept. The security was tight and the staff were all very nice to deal with. The only incident we had was with the air conditioner but even that was handled in a very prompt and professional manner. There was activities going on pretty much every day. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
You just never know who you are going to meet
WiFi worked well at the bar with the mini ipad
There was some gorgeous plants
Nice!

Sunday morning arrived and Cathy was determined to get to the craft market for a little more shopping. I didn't think the craft market would be open on Sunday but was assured by several people that it was open. We took a route taxi to the market. I wasn't really into shopping so I wandered over to the bridge to take a look. Going back to the market I had no problem finding Cathy as the vendors pointed me in her direction. While the market was open, there are far less vendors that show up for work on a Sunday.
Love the photography. Thanks Chuck
Wifi was great at Travellers bar! I would wait at the bar for Diane's son Keith while he worked out at Travellers and surf on my mini.
Great photos!
Thanks,

Monday morning arrived and our vacation was rapidly coming to an end. After breakfast I went back to the room to take my pills that I take once a day. I only had two pills left of each, that means when I take my last pills tomorrow it is time go home. We had previously talked of going to Little Bay just to get out of town so we contacted a driver at Travellers and off we went.
