what are your must pack items?

We always save room in our bag for things to give away. We know that the gift of cash is always appreciated, but we like to also bring gifts for our maids and other staff where we stay, and this trip we have items for Father Jimaica and St. Anthony's. We have a lot of respect for the work they are doing and hope to help make their holidays a little brighter.

It's easier if I say what I don't pack..........the kitchen sink and the washing machine!.

I am a horrendous over packer, my (tomorrow he will be) husband, he did say after my tenth pack unpack scenario that, "Sara! you have waaaaaaaay, too much stuff," to which I obviously replied, "no, babe, I need everything, honest!". When it came to unpacking I had a quiet moment too myself thinking, "what the bleeping heck was I thinking packing all this crap?". My case alone weighed 24.9kgs (that didn't include my dress or hand luggage or the extra bag we brought filled with a beautician, pharmacy and half a supermarket!".

However, I always remember my passport and tickets

Other than the needed clothes... Sun glasses,hat,3m hooks,sun screen,assorted kitchen items and a large insulated sports bottle for Margaritas(mixed in room) we also leave a cooler with lots of other stuff,so no need to pack that!

I am also an over packer...just reading all of these comments...What I tell myself when I leave is...I need meds, passport, money, swimsuit and snorkel gear..then I pack everything in the world a traveler may need once in a lifetime..But I see no one said extension cord..I have found this to be very handy..not knowing where outlets are and all..
