hey booger, is Nicolette still a server at Catcha? She is a good server. I've been to Ivans for dinner about twenty times through the year, always thoroughly enjoyed it. Last time, the lobster was 32 USD and 22 USD at Seastar Inn. I think the average is about 25 on the hill.
Booger,,,there was a pretty Jamaican lady who was the manager there few years ago...Ask her if she remembers the naked guy at the Pisces room?
I thought I was special?
I would never "pass" for a night out at Ivan's!!! The food, the staff, the ambiance....some of my most amazing nights!!
I am here now also and I am glad some people don't like it, maybe it won't be so crowded some nights. it must be something that brings in the customers!!!!!!! Beautiful spot and the best staff anywhere we've been.
I also loved Tensing Pen but I got so tired of hearing "EVERYTIME" I walked to the bar or into the dining hut. Loved the food and the grounds. It must really be lush there @ this time.
I'm glad this thread surfaced when it did...we just returned from Jamaica and spent the last three days/two nights of our eight day trip at Catcha and it was fan-freaking-tastic. Maybe it is like that all the time or maybe this thread had them on their toes, but everything was better than great. Every staff member I encountered gave me their name and asked me mine...from then on it was first name basis only. We had a special anniversary dinner at Ivan's on Thursday night, I had the Pineapple Snapper, my lady had the Seafood Linguine, we shared the jerk shrimp appetizer, and had lots of rum punch and red stripe. The price was more than fair and the experience was, as they say in MasterCard-land, priceless!! I'll post further thoughts and some pics of our experience last week in another thread.
Thank you!!!!
