We stay at banana shouts, this place is run down and in need of repair.
The room we stay smell of piss and the front door was broke in a few time, we could tell by the cheap ass repairs done on it. the manager and his girlfriend and his brother and his girlfriend were staying there taken up space from the guess like us who where paying!! when they loss power they had no backup power!!! So we check early and they will not return my money!!! Never stay at banana shouts.
I'm sorry to hear this since my oldest dear Jamaican friend Plug has worked there for years. Met him my first reach...1988 when my stays were at Drumville Cove & Plug was just a guy then. I look forward to seeing him my next reach in late Jan. & always surprise him with a little something something!!
sorry you didn't ask us BEFORE you booked --- there are places in negril for your "lifestyle" and i'm not talking Hedo :-)

But yeah, Jumpie, you posted on here for a little while before your trip. If you have never been to Negril, you could have asked us about Banana Shout and we would have told you that it is a somewhat primitive type of resort. Many Negril veterans love the place, but its certainly not for everybody... Lifestyle preferences aside.

Sorry about your experience, but if the room smelled and the door is in poor condition why would you accept that? I'm sure they would have moved you to a better space if you spoke up.
I always scope out the room before I officially check-in to verify that actual conditions reflect my internet research.

It's not run down or in need of repair!!!
When they lose power, it's normally the whole area.
BS is a great wee place to stay.
They've not had a break in for years to my knowledge.
If the room smelt of piss, I would look close to home as the cleaners there are the best.
The manager and his lady live in their own place on site, they are not taking up room.
And if his brother was staying there, how do you know he wasn't paying.
I would recommend you stay at Couples or Beaches next time, that way you needn't leave the resort.
