pool tourney
Good day all. New to the board. Was just wondering if anyone has any info on the annual Canada vs Jamaica pool tournament that is held in February. We will be down Feb 11-25th and I sure would like to try give it a go. The only threads that I came across is that it is at Tayon's on the west end.
I LOVE that there is a tourney, not that I would play or participate, I just love the fact that it was started a one time. People participated and with someone trying to keep it going, its totally worth it!

Friday, February the 21st, at Tayons. Boogzy is the guy to see.
awesome, was hoping that we would be there for it. I hear that Jamaica has been kicking ass for a while. have been playing around Negril the last couple of times we have been down there. they definitely have some good players. We are staying at the seastar so I guess we will get a hold of Boogzy when we get there. Thanks much

If I'm not mistaken it books up,you may not want to wait till you get there.I believe boogsy post's on here as I inquired about the tourney not long ago and he responded.
Hey BC BUDDA, glad your interested in playing. A high skill level is required for this tourney so i'm hoping that is what you are bringing. I will be arriving Jan. 19 and when I get my new sim card I'll post my number and you can get ahold of me when you arrive. How would you rate your skill level? If you want to send me a pm and we can discuss it some more. The tourney is on Feb. 21
Boogzy, whats the format? 8ball/9ball?. Last time I played was 2012 at the boatbar. Played for two days as I was asked to come back. Played a lotta locals. Good players they are. Had a lot of fun. Ran the table both days. Must have been the right state of mind LOL. Had locals on the cell calling their buds to come down to beat the "sharp shootar" the name I acquirerd while playing LOL. I have played bar pool most of my life so I am hoping that I can hold my own. I am sure with the rest of the canadian team, we will give the boys a run. Never played at Tayons as I just found out about this annual tourney. Hows the stick situation at Tayons? Boatbar only had 1 or 2 sticks. Will get a hold of you before we head out. Cheers.
