ummmmm

i unna-stan your point,
BUT they key-word in your post is "..much.."

for example,
there's a guy in *my* Lucea-neighborhood (and several others in the area)
who do not supply HiLo, and other supermarkets (e.g., the China-man groceries),
but they do supply small vendors at the market, and/or sell their wares themselves at the market.

that's tru tru
IF you include the pre-packaged goods (e.g., cereal, Pampers, drinks in bottles & cans, one-ply toilet paper, Bop roach spray, pastries, bread, female hair products, blue laundry soap, etc., etc. etc.)

Nevertheless,
for-me,
for the most part,
under most situations,
I stay away from HiLo for my fresh produce, veggies, fruits

i'm picky-picky about my produce stuff

that stuff in HiLo & ValueMaster just don't *look* right to me & my eyes. 'Tis hard to explain, but there IS a difference (to me).

of course, the best-est is from somebody's yard ---- stuff that never makes it to the markets and/or chain-grocery.
