-Special High Season Rate for two people - 4 nights until April 2014 $320. For 5 nights it's $400. Including cooked breakfast for 2
-Rate for two people for 4 nights from April 16 to Dec 14 2014 is just $239... For 5 nights, it's $295
-Rates include cooked breakfast for two
-At checkout, there will be a low tax of 10%
-Our Past Time is right on the beach, beside Sandals
-Recently renovated rooms

Hi Jitterbug,

It's safer for you to go through living social. If you need to get a refund for any reason, with Living Social, you're guaranteed to get it because you're covered by their terms and conditions. If you go directly through the hotel, there's no guarantee they'll give you a refund in the event that your travel plans change. Also, people who go through Living Social get a special low tax rate of 10%. Normally, the hotel's rate is higher.

I tried to do this with another living social-type deal at another hotel. When I called the hotel, I was told that the deal was being offered through a travel agency and not the hotel, and that I would have to purchase the deal through the website that was offering it in order to get the special rate. I was also told that a certain block of rooms were reserved for this living social-type deal; in this case they were first floor rooms with less than optimum views. So I then asked the hotel if they would be able to offer me a similar rate if I booked directly through them. Well, they did not match the terms of the living social deal, but they did give me a discount off the regular rate, they waived the taxes and they gave me a better ocean view room. So, I paid a little more, but I got the room I wanted.

1. Where in Negril is it?

On the Norman Manley Boulevard beside the Sandals hotel. Our Past Time is right on the beach (see photo above).

2. What amenities does it have?

The 17-room hotel has a restaurant, bar and massage area on the beach. Each room has either a patio or balcony.

3. What is the discount offered with the Living Social deal?

33% off the winter rate. The standard rate for two people is $130 per night (January 2014 -April 2014).
With the Living Social package it's $88 a night including tax.

20% off the summer rate. The standard rate for two people is $80 per night (April 15 - Dec 14).
With the Living Social deal it's $66 a night including tax.
