Been on the beach a few days.. here until after New Year's..
First night dinner - Boat Bar - nobody there (not surprising, pretty much have the town to ourselves) - "All we have is chicken and fish" - just what we were looking for. Bartender disappears for awhile - comes back with food in styrofoam to go containers. Both ended up Brown stew fish - but really just fish, not much brown stew. We were hungry and it was hot - but it didn't come from Boat Bar obviously. Oh well, put some food in our stomachs, but won't be headed back soon - a great old haunt though. Had some great Best of the West later that night and then again for lunch today.
Last night dinner - Italian Cafe - right next to Goa - we had not tried it before - nice vibe! Pizza and Pasta Carbonara - both great. Good DJ, nice vibes. Across the street, so no water, but some folks actually there (empty just about everywhere in town).
Tonight - Tried Rayon Restaurant across from Firefly - one other couple there - it was good! Warned about wait for pork - no problem. Watched some of the Voice on TV and chatted with the waiter while we waited, nice guy (Howard). Very tender pork and good curry chicken, good, chunky pumpkin soup.
Overall, very quiet.. we know it will pick up in the next week or so, enjoying the quiet for now.
