Not sure where you get your statistics, Gerry...but as someone living here daily and from both Rob's and my own personal experience, I would definitely have to disagree with you. I've seen more electronics etc. that were lost/misplaced being returned to owners than anywhere else I've ever lived.

But, the same as anywhere...you should always look out for your 'stuff'...opportunists are everywhere...tourist and local alike.
