Those stupid dolphins! I spent 4 weeks last year trying to see them! I heard them one night and ran to the cliffs with a flashlight. BTW - a small flashlight can help you find a lost earring in a dark room, but it really isn't much good covering the whole Caribbean for spying dolphins! I'm just sayin' - I will try again every day to see them in Feb when we are there. I love dolphins, but those ones are alluding me on purpose! Or would that be "on porpoise"?

It is a gem of a place, Rooster! The view is incredible! And that pool! It was awesome this summer, as while we were offered to go the beach property as it was low season, we stayed at the cliff site. It was amazing! For a few days we had the whole place to ourselves. THAT's how to live. Melvin (the security guy) was awesome - all the staff were! Are.

I agree..Melvin's great guy & I also agree with you on that great pool. Love the way it's raised up giving you a splash away from the bar & that great veiw of the beautiful sea. How lucky you were to the whole place to yourselves. I bring 50 9 led (nice & bright) flashlights & give them out to locals...they love them..Melvin got one last year & a Leatherman knife/tool...gave Dudley a Leatherman too. I make sure the complete staff has a led flashlight first then as my days go by I give them out to whoever. I brought & put up all the colored led lights in the bar..since the bar was closed when you were there you didn't see them. This year I'm bringing (already packed) enough led lights to outfit the complete resturant area..120ft.

Dudley is the 1st and best gardner I was able to meet in Negril over 14 years ago. He had some of the best cold cuts for my subs. He worked there when it was Coral Seas. Seen him last year on my visit and no doubt hes getting older.

Maybe your not up early enough lol. During our week stay I seen dolpins 3 mornings while drinking my coffee and having my breakfast sub at about 7am like others have posted. Try drinking coffee that might be the trick or was it the sub. I would try to do both. We stayed on 2nd floor.
