Best place for lunch on the way to Negril?
Drawing on the experienced people here. Please tell me what was your favorite place to stop for lunch between MoBay and Negril?
Also what did you have that was sooooo good.
Heading out Jan31-Feb10
Still forming plans but have...
Driver: Steve Positive tours.
the 100 candle dinner all scheduled.
Still need to email Lenbert for seats on the crawl.
That's enough plans the rest will just happen.

We have had a good experience at Jerky's in Montego Bay. It's on the way out of town. The food was good. Seemed really popular among the locals.
I have heard that Biggas in Green Island is also a great spot. Have not had the opportunity to try it myself though.

I'll second Jerky's. Super-quick food and cold red stripes, for when you don't want to waste any time and hit the road to Negril.

Re: Best place for lunch on the way to Negril?
Bigga has awesome soup but I was very very disappointed with his chicken, not sure what he's doing differently but it isn't working. Hope that changes because he's been a staple for many years on our way to Negril.

Jerky's or Pork Pit. Both right in Montego Bay.

Re: Best place for lunch on the way to Negril?
here's a NEW-spot for ya
it's IN Negril
but still should be a neat-option
[[ while it lasts ]]\
On the beach road
in the vicinity of the water-park thing-y
across the road from the now gone BeachsSandyBay
they remodeling, demolishing, etc the resort property
so,
to *service* all the construction workers there,
folks have set-up likkle eatin' spots along the roadside
so,
ALL stuff is priced appropriately,
for the Jamaican construction-worker's budget.
I can GUARANTEE that the food is GOOD-to-GREAT..!!..
cooked, prepared, etc FRESH daily
stay tuned ---- i'm GONNA do a taste & price(s) test
