Good NYE Morning!

Woke up about 6. Brewed coffee. Opened my door on the road side to watch the sun come up over the hills. Grabbed a few supplies & headed down to the edge of the cliffs

It was very quiet. A few fisherman arrived nearby.
Sat there for awhile, til the sun kissed my back & brightened the resorts along the coast.
When all of a sudden the tears came! Not out of sadness.
But, an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the last year, even with its ups & downs.
And, gratitude for another opportunity to be here in this beautiful place having a wonderful time with old friends & new!

I send bright blessings to Negril.com & our boardie family as we reflect on ....'out with the old, in with the new' for 2014!

I woke up at 4:30 this morning, let the dogs out for a pee and saw nothing but a white blanket of snow had fallen. It was -12 and very quiet except for the rumbling of snow plows in the distance. I stood there for a second as the cold made me shiver. Then the tears started, not tears of joy either. Tears of knowing I have to shovel before work again.
I let the dogs back in, slammed the door, went back to bed!

Jamadian, You poor baby! I was explaining to a Jamaican lady this morning how it can be so cold your nose hairs freeze!
I don't think she believed me! Lol.

& heard they are expecting 6-8" of snow at home!

WestEndGirl. If you have nose hairs there are methods to rid yourself of them

I appreciate your heart felt warmth (or maybe that was just me imagining the warmth of Jamaica :-). It's ok, I made it through the day and didn't bother to shovel. I was thinking: "Mother Nature put it there let her take it away." I doubt my plan will hold up to another 6-8 inches though. So I sit here on New Years Eve with my hands alternating between keyboard and beer reading all the posts from you wonderful boardies who allow us to live vicariously through your trips and pictures that you post daily, and we thank you for that!
However: if you are hung over in the morning, please do not post as I do not want to experience a vicarious hang over on top of the one I will probably already be suffering through

WE gal- we're moving to the cliffs as I type. Hoping to run into you. Hubs got his time on beach.... Now it's cliff time!!!! Soooo ready......

WE Girl - I'm with Jamadian. The tears just wont stop and they're freezing in their tracks! Love your post and wish you a very happy new year.
