italian family in Negril?

Hi, we are italian anche we would like to come to Negril for two weeks. We are two adults and a child of two years.
What do you think about Shields Negril Villas? Is it a good place?
Is Negril expensive eat in bar and restaurants and is possibile to rent bikes and turn around with theme?

a boardie reported that there were loads of Italians staying at Barry's Bold as Love, Bourbon Beach and Bar-B-Barn - Shields is within walking distance

there is also the Sunset Club - which has a representative in Italy and Luca (manager) in Jamaica is Italian but living in Jamaica for many years - the restaurant has brick oven pizza and espresso

the owner of Banana Shout (on the cliffs) is also italian

Crystal Village on the beach might be a good place. Each villa has a kitchen and a cook is available which might be easier than going out for meals.
