You get a better rate for the JMD when you have USD to exchange. So we change to USD here and then to JMD when we are there. I have had my cards not work at the ATM's so I just play it save and do it here. Besides have you ever seen the look on a Jamaican's face when you try to give them Canadian Money? LOL!! There's a few places that are familiar with it like the Canoe but they are few and far between.
